Day 1- Arrival – Thimphu
(Frame: 2:20 hrs Altitude: 2300m, Thimphu)
After your arrival at Paro International Airport, you will be welcomed by our company’s representative. Then drive to Thimphu. Upon reaching Thimphu rest for some time to get acclimatize with the weather. We shall visit Statue of Buddha Dordenma, one of the tallest statue of sitting Buddha (169 ft).
Then visit, National Memorial Chorten. Towards the later afternoon visit craft bazar, kaja throm
Towards the evening stroll around town Dinner and overnight stay in Paro.
Day 2- Thimphu to Punakha
(Frame: 2 hrs 30 min/1200m)
Punakha is little warmer than Thimphu and Paro. And it used to be the ancient capital before it shifted to Thimphu. We shall stop for a while at Dochula Pass, the pass offers spectacular view of the entire
himalayan range on a clear sunny day. Do some photography and move towards Punakha.
Visit Punakha Dzong and longest suspension bridge over phochhu (river) Dinner and overnight stay in Punakha.
Day 3- Punakha- Bumthang
(Frame: 4.50 hrs/2800m, Bumthang)
Today, we drive toward Bumthang. on the way stop for a while at Pelala, another high pass on
the mountain. On the way we shall visit Trongsa Dzong, a historic monuments. The continue our drive to
Bumthang. Then we shall also pause for a while at Yotonga pass (3425 mtrs) another high pass
on the mountain. Chek into our hotel and take rest. Dinner and overnight stay in Bumthang.
Day 4- Bumthang (Festival) 30 April – 2 May
After breakfast we go and attend Domkhar Tshechu or festival for half day. Do photography.
Afternoon, visit Jambay Lhakhang, Kurjey Lhakhang, oldest temples in Bhutan. Towards the evening stroll around Bumthang town. Dinner and overnight stay in Bumthang.
Day 5- Bumthang – Paro
(Frame: Domestic flight- Tue, Thur & Fri)
Aftr breakfast we drive to airport for our flight to Paro. our flight will take about 45 minutes
to reach Paro. Upon reaching Paro visit Paro Rinpung Dzong, the central administrative
office of Paro valley. Towards the evening leisure walk. Dinner and overnight stay in Paro.
Day 6- Taktshang Hike
Our day begins after an early breakfast for the hike to view one of the Bhutan’s most famous
pilgrimage and a holy mediation sites, the Taktshang popularly known as the ‘Tiger’s
Nest’. The hike offers spectacular views of this sacred monastery perched on a sheer rock face
which is 900mts above the valley floor. Legend has it that Guru Rimpoche, father of Bhutan’s
stream of Mahayana Buddhism arrived in the Paro valley more than a millennium ago on a
back of a tigress. We begin hiking by foot or on a pony ride to the cafeteria, which serves
as a midway point and has wonderful views of the Tiger’s Nest. From here it’s about an hour’s
walk through some stunning landscape to reach the monastery. After returning back check into hotel and take rest. Towards the evening, stroll around Paro town, visit new kaja throm and visit some
handicraft shops in town. OR experience hot stone bath.
Dinner and overnight stay in Paro.
Day 7- Departure
Drive to Paro airport for departure.
