1. INTRODUCTION

Welcome to Tears of Joy Adventure! By accessing or using our website and booking any of our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. DEFINITIONS

For the purpose of these terms and conditions, the “Company” refers to Tears of Joy Adventure, registered in Bhutan. The term “User” refers to any visitor or customer accessing our website or using our services. “Booking” refers to the reservation of any tours, accommodations, or other travel services provided by the Company. Additionally, “Tour” refers to any of the travel packages, treks, or trips organized by the Company.

BOOKING AND PAYMENT TERMS

All bookings are subject to availability. To confirm a booking, a deposit of 30% of the total tour price is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance must be paid 30 days before the travel start date. Payments can be made through bank transfer, credit card, or any other method provided by Tears of Joy Adventure, with any applicable bank fees being the responsibility of the customer. All prices listed are in Ngultrum (Nu.) and include applicable taxes.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

Cancellations made more than 30 days before the travel date will receive a refund, minus a 10% administrative fee. For cancellations made within 15 to 30 days of the travel date, a refund of 50% of the total cost will be issued. Cancellations made within 14 days of the travel date are non-refundable. Additionally, no refunds will be provided for any unused portion of the trip after the tour has commenced.

CHANGES TO BOOKING

Changes to confirmed bookings must be made in writing and are subject to availability. An administrative fee of Nu. 500 may apply to any changes. Major changes, such as altering the tour date, made less than 15 days prior to the start date will be treated as a cancellation and will be subject to our cancellation policy.

LIABILITY AND RESPONSIBILITY

Tears of Joy Adventure is dedicated to making your travel experience as smooth and enjoyable as possible. However, we are not responsible for any delays, cancellations, or changes resulting from circumstances beyond our control, such as natural disasters, weather conditions, political unrest, or government travel restrictions. Additionally, we cannot be held accountable for any losses, damages, or injuries sustained during the trip unless directly caused by our negligence. Travelers participate at their own risk and are expected to have appropriate travel insurance that covers cancellations, health issues, accidents, and the loss of personal items.

PASSPORT, VISA, AND HEALTH REQUIREMENTS

It is the traveler’s responsibility to ensure they have a valid passport with at least six months of validity from the date of entry and the appropriate visa for entry into Bhutan. All tourists, except those from India, Bangladesh, and the Maldives, must obtain a visa prior to traveling, and Tears of Joy Adventure will facilitate the visa process. Additionally, travelers must ensure they meet the health and vaccination requirements for entering Bhutan. It is recommended to consult a local doctor or travel health expert regarding necessary vaccinations or health precautions before the trip.

CONDUCT AND BEHAVIOR

Travelers are expected to respect the local laws, customs, and traditions of Bhutan. Any behavior deemed offensive, illegal, or unsafe will lead to immediate removal from the tour without a refund. To ensure a safe and respectful experience for everyone, it is essential to follow the instructions and guidelines provided by our guides and representatives throughout the trip.
